Mega888, screen by screen: slots, arcade boards and odd roulettes

Mega888 is a casino app in the same style as 918Kiss: colourful slot frames with three jackpot meters along the top, a handful of arcade betting boards, and table games with plain blue felt. It isn't in Google Play or the App Store and there is no sign-up screen inside it. Someone else creates your ID and loads your credit. The old version of this page was two sentences of sales talk about "hundreds of available options" and never showed the app. What the old site did keep is about sixty screenshots from fifteen Mega888 games, and that is what this page is built on.

People reach this page by searching for "mega8888" far more often than for the correct name. It is the same app. There is no second one with an extra eight.

What the Mega888 lobby looks like

We have no screenshot of the opening lobby, so the list of tabs and the number of games can't be given here, and they change with every app update anyway. The game screens themselves fall into three families.

The first is the slot frame most people picture when they think of this app. Three boxes run across the top, labelled Major, Random and Minor, with a purple menu button in the corner. Pirate, Safari Heat and the Robin Hood slot use that layout with the balance, total bet and win along the bottom. Pay Dirt, Rally and Silent Run move the balance, bet and win to the top and put the three meters just below. The meters move between screenshots, sometimes by a few hundred credits, which is what shared jackpot meters do.

The second family is the arcade board: a ring of picture tiles around a centre screen, with a bet panel where you spread chips over symbols and colours, each with its own multiplier. Pokemon and Racing Car are both built this way.

The third is the table games. Poker Three and three roulettes share a blue felt, a Min and Max sign in the top left, a row of chips and a Current Balance box in the corner.

No screen shows a currency sign. Some games count in whole numbers, with bets of 20 or 150, and others in decimals down to 0.01. The balances are blurred on every screenshot here. One set of Silent Run shots was taken in NoxPlayer, an Android emulator for Windows, so Mega888 was also being played on PCs that way.

How a Mega888 ID and credit work

There is no registration form in Mega888. An agent, or a website with back-office access to the app, creates a game ID and a password for you. To top up, you send ringgit by bank transfer, DuitNow or e-wallet to the account they name, and they add the same amount as credit. To cash out, you ask them again. They take the credit off your ID and send money to your bank, when they choose to.

That credit belongs to Mega888 alone. A balance on 918Kiss or any of the other apps stays where it is, even where the games look the same. Keep a screenshot of every transfer and try a small withdrawal early. Nobody who runs your ID needs your online banking password or your TAC. The partner box at the end of this page is a separate online casino with its own accounts, and it does not issue Mega888 IDs.

Installing and logging in to Mega888

The old download page offered three Mega888 buttons: a 64-bit iPhone build for the iPhone 5s and newer, a 32-bit build for older iPhones, and an Android file. There was no Windows version. The host behind those buttons has been deleted, and we don't host or link app files.

On Android, a file from outside Google Play needs "install unknown apps" switched on for your browser or file manager. Switch it off again afterwards. Pages that sell themselves as a Mega888 download link, or a list of links, are only as safe as the file at the end, and a modded file can read your SMS codes and your banking app. On iPhone the app comes through an enterprise profile, and Apple revokes those once it spots the misuse, so the app simply stops opening one day. Log in only through the app's own login screen. Searches for a mobile web version of Mega888 turn up plenty of look-alike addresses, and a login box on one of those is a way to collect your ID and password. Our logins guide explains how to spot one.

Mega888 games on this page

The old site gave each of these games a short page of its own, mostly machine-translated review copy that often described a different game. The sections below go by the screenshots instead, in alphabetical order. Four more games have pages of their own: Pay Dirt, Rally Championship, Robin Hood and Roulette 24.

Pirate

A cartoon pirate slot on a ship's deck, with rigging and blue sky behind a big red and gold PIRATE logo. The crew fills the reels: a pirate with an orange beard hugging a bomb, a captain with a hook hand, a grinning sailor with a tankard, an officer with a spyglass and a woman pirate with a pistol. A parrot, a skull flag, crossed cutlasses, a flintlock and a galleon complete the set.

The gold doubloon is marked Wild and a treasure map scroll is marked Bonus. The panel shows 20 lines, not the nine the old page claimed, with a lines bet of 1 or 5 for a total of 20 or 100. One spin pays 20 on line 6 for three bomb-carrying pirates. Play8oy has a slot of the same name, written up in its own section.

Pirate Ship

A different pirate game altogether. The logo in the top right reads Treasure Island Pirate Ship, over a bearded captain, and the tall panel below it holds the Random, Major and Minor meters and a Game Win box. Thirty numbered line tabs run down both sides of the reels.

Most of the reels are card suits printed on sackcloth: a green club, a yellow diamond, a red heart and a blue spade. The pictures are a skull flag, a ship's wheel, a treasure chest and a spyglass. One screenshot catches a Free Spin Bonus tile on reel 3, which fits the old page's line about free spins from scatters. Bets of 120 and 30 appear, and one shot asks you to press Reveal.

Pokemon

This is an arcade board, not a slot, and it is based on a famous cartoon franchise, so we describe it rather than show it. The title under the centre panel reads 宠物小精灵 Pocket Monster. A ring of character tiles runs around a forest clearing, and a light travels the ring to pick the result. A "who's that" silhouette box sits on the left under a jackpot meter of 414,660.

The bet panel holds four creatures, a yellow electric mouse, an orange fire lizard, a blue turtle and a green seed creature, each in three tile colours with its own multiplier from x5 to x40. On the right are three more boxes: Bank x2, Tie x9 and Player x2. The chip button reads x100, with BAL, BET, WIN, Last Result and Rebet along the bottom. The old page described paylines and a free version for comparing high scores. Neither exists on these screens.

Poker Three

Three Card Poker on a blue table with room for three hands. Each seat has Ante, Pair Plus Bet and Bet circles, and the dealer's hand in the middle "must have Queen or better to qualify". The table limits are 0.5 to 1000, and the chips run from 0.5 to 1000.

The pay tables are printed on the felt. Pair Plus pays 40 to 1 for a straight flush, 30 to 1 for three of a kind, 6 to 1 for a straight, 4 to 1 for a flush and 1 to 1 for a pair. The Bonus Ante pays 5 for 1, 4 for 1 and 1 for 1 on the top three hands. Here a 5 chip on the ante draws 3, 4 and 5, marked Straight, and the Call and Fold buttons wait. The old page talked about live dealers from another studio, and that isn't this game.

Racing Car

Another arcade board, this one ringed with car badges: Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi and Volkswagen, each in red, green and yellow rims, with a police car tile among them. The centre shows a racetrack with a glowing blue portal and a jackpot of 100,600. Several screens also carry a photo of a model in swimwear beside the track, which is why no image appears here.

The bet panel sets out all twelve badges with their multipliers. The Mercedes badges pay the most, x28 to x46, and the Volkswagen ones the least, x4 to x8, with BMW and Audi in between. One shot has 150 on the green BMW. Clear Bets, Start and an x50 chip button sit under the panel.

Reel Classic 3

A three-reel fruit machine standing in a row of cabinets on red carpet, with one payline and "Play 1 to 3 coins" on the side. The pay table on the glass is easy to read. Three Reel Classic 3 coins pay 1000, 2000 or 5000 depending on how many coins you play.

Three cherries pay 160, 320 or 480, triple bars 80, 160 or 240, double bars 40 to 120 and single bars 20 to 60. Any three bars pay 10 to 30, and one or two cherries anywhere pay a little. The old page said triple bars reach 250. The glass says 240. Coin values of 1 and 0.25 show on the selector, with Bet One, Bet Two and Bet Max buttons.

Roulette 12

A small roulette with thirteen pockets, 0 to 12. The layout is three rows of four numbers with a 2 to 1 box at the end of each row. Below them sit three boxes marked 1 to 6, 4 to 9 and 7 to 12, and a row with Even, black, red and Odd.

Bets run from 0.5 to 200, with chips of 0.5, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 100. A strip across the top, spelled RECOED on screen, keeps the last results, and the wheel spins over the table once you bet. The old text for this game described a live dealer table with several cameras. These screens show a plain animated wheel.

Roulette 73

The opposite extreme: 73 pockets, 0 to 72. The numbers sit in six rows of twelve, and each row can be backed as a whole at 5 to 1. Under them are four blocks of 18, three blocks of 24, 1 to 36, 36 to 72, and Even, black, red and Odd.

The limits are 0.5 to 700, with the same chips as the other roulettes. The wheel itself is crowded, with 73 thin pockets around a marble centre. The old page for this game was a paragraph about bonus wagering rules and had nothing to do with it.

Safari Heat

Sunset over the savannah, with elephants and giraffes on the skyline. The reels hold a lion, a zebra, a flamingo, a wildebeest and an elephant, plus 9 to A.

All 15 lines play at 1.20. After a win, a Last Cards screen offers Red or Black on a face-down card, with Bank 0.04 and Double To 0.08 in the example. The old page said the lion is a wild that doubles wins and that sunset scatters give 15 free spins at three times. Our screens stop before any of that. LPE88 has the same slot in a section of its own.

Samurai

The reels call it Silent Samurai, under a red sky with a pagoda. The letters 10 to A are painted in brush strokes that half look like Japanese characters. The pictures are a samurai with a red headband, a geisha with flowers in her hair, a bronze coin with a square hole, a shuriken and a gold dragon head.

There are 9 lines. One screen plays all of them at 0.90, the others one line at 0.01. The old page described a bonus where you throw stars at twenty ninjas for free spins and multipliers. None of the six screenshots reaches it.

Silent Run

A submarine slot set deep underwater, with sea mines hanging on chains at the edges. Symbols include a radar screen marked Scatter, a red alarm lamp marked Wild, torpedoes, a submarine, barrels on the seabed and a mine, with metal letters from 9 to A.

All six screenshots play 20 lines at 0.01 a line for 0.20, and messages at the side spell out each result, such as "You won on 6 lines". A Random Jackpot sits between Minor and Major. The old page described coin levels up to 0.50 and an Echo Wild on reel 3. This panel only has Lines and Bet, and the Wild in our shot is on reel 2.
